About the Front-End Software Engineer Role 


In this role, you will work within a cross-functional team to deliver cutting edge software that utilizes a modern technology stack including Vue, JavaScript, CSS, Bulma, AWS S3 and PostgreSQL, as well as Python, AWS Lambda and Hyperledger Indy blockchain.


At 1 Month:

  • You will be building custom Vue components that meet our responsive and accessibility needs.

  • You will have a solid understanding of our CSS framework, and start to plan its standardization across many mediums.


At 2 Months:

  • You will have a comprehensive understanding of our physician facing application.

  • You will understand the main tenants of the domain, and have sat through a few user sessions to build empathy for our users.

  • You will understand all our third-party integrations ( Authentication, Biometric Identification, E-signature )

  • and you will be able to make suggestions of how we can improve these.


At 6 months:

  • You will be leading conversations around architecture, and own the direction of both frontend applications.


  • You have at least 2 years of experience building cross-browser compatible websites

  • You’ve built responsive applications using a combination of CSS3 and CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap or Bulma

  • You are familiar with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS 

  • You understand how a component-based SPA is built in a modern JavaScript framework (we use Vue + Vuex)

  • You’re comfortable with build tools such as webpack, gulp, and custom npm scripts

  • You have experience using source control tools (preferably Git)

  • You’ve written unit, integration, and functional tests for your code


  • A solid experience building and testing applications on top of RESTful APIs

  • UX design and user testing knowledge

  • Experience building accessible applications 

  • Performance optimization techniques

  • Continuous integration and automated deployment systems

  • Knowledge of agile methods and concepts

  • A strong desire to learn, push the envelope, and share knowledge with others
